Tumbling Towers

This game consists of 54 blocks that need to be arranged in a rectangular tower prior to beginning the game. The tower is made up of 18 layers of three blocks arranged with their long sides touching and perpendicular to the layer below. The objective of the game is to remove a block and place it on top of the tower without causing it to collapse.

To start the game, a player needs to remove a block from any layer except the top layer without touching any other block and using just one hand. Once a block is removed, it is placed horizontally on top of the tower and perpendicular to the blocks directly below. The players take turns to remove blocks. A layer is complete once three blocks have been placed and then the next layer can be started. The player is allowed to nudge or tap a block to determine whether is easy enough to remove.

The game ends when the tower tumbles and the loser is the player who caused the collapse by either removing a block or placing it on top of the tower. This game could also be played collaboratively to build the tallest tower possible.
